Earthtwine® OUTDOOR Twine
Made for Open Fields and Orchards
Earthtwine® OUTDOOR is designed for crops grown in open fields and orchards, where plants face shifting weather, wind, and tougher conditions. For hops, our green twine is preferred by growers because it blends naturally into the crop and is less visually obtrusive than white twine.
Using a compostable outdoor twine like Earthtwine® offers clear advantages:
- No separation required after harvest: Twine and plant material can be composted together, saving time and eliminating waste disposal challenges.
- Reduces long‑term plastic impact: Unlike conventional plastic twines, Earthtwine® avoids microplastic pollution and environmental buildup.
- More efficient than natural fibre twines: While natural fibres are compostable, they can lack the strength and softness of Earthtwine® and may harbour spores or pathogens especially risky in warm, humid greenhouse environments.
Earthtwine® OUTDOOR is naturally UV‑stable and engineered to handle temperature shifts, humidity, and exposure. Breakdown begins only under commercial composting conditions, ensuring durability in the field and sustainability afterward.
