Empak has been involved in the production and supply of quality twines since 1970. As a market leader in horticultural twines in New Zealand, we have been able to establish a comprehensive range.
Our current range is focused on providing growers with quality twines for horticultural applications ideal for vine tying, training, and the support of vegetable and fruit crops such as Kiwifruit, Hops, Apples, Grapes, Tomatoes, Peppers, Berries and soft fruits. Our twines are available in a range of breaking strains and colours that are uniquely designed for each particular crop variety. We also supply single and multi-ended cops.
We ensure our twines are consistent, reliable, and meet the highest standards for horticultural use. With our long history in the supply of twines, we have established a reputation for excellence and reliability to ensure customer satisfaction.

We support growers to move away from a ‘buy > use> dispose’ linear approach and transition towards a circular approach by eliminating the impact of plastic on the environment.
Our product is made from plant-based polymers and biomaterials and has been developed with local growers to ensure that each product meets the standards and expectations of the industry.
EarthTwine will decompose fully in a composting environment leaving no harmful residues in the process. It breaks down into water, CO2 and biomass.
Berry Visible
Berry Visible is a high-strength, highly UV-resistant polypropylene twine that has been specifically designed for crop trellis support. It provides peace of mind that plants will be supported on trellis systems for their entire lifecycle.
Growers Twine Cop
Growers Twine Cop is a high-strength, highly UV- UV-resistant polypropylene twine that has been specifically designed for cucumber crop support. Our Grower’s Twine provides the convenience of a multi-ended coil that allows 50 twines to be cut to specific lengths at the same time, decreasing labour costs.
Kiwi Twine
Our synthetic P.P. Kiwi Twines are mainly intended for vine tying, training, and supporting kiwi fruits.
Hop Twine
Our synthetic P.P. Hops Twines are mainly intended for vine tying, training, and supporting hops.
Tomato Twine
Our synthetic P.P. Tomato Twines are mainly intended for vine tying, training, and supporting tomatoes.
